Have you ever seen this or heard of this?!
This is a challenge created by Andy Frisella who is an incredible coach, based in the USA.
There are 5 rules that you have to follow every day, for 75 days. If you break one of the rules - you go back to day ZERO & have to start all over again. Personally I have been wanting to do this challenge for over a year now. At the time I explored it, I was just going into my 3rd pregnancy & that's not the greatest time to start something like this. Though that could be argued to be an excuse - but 2 sessions of 40 minute workouts a day while pregnant with no off days or excuses sounds kind of stupid, safety & comfort-wise for pregnancy. I'm about to make my annual journey to 70,000 Tons of Heavy Metal Cruise & I'm considering starting my first 75 Hard afterward.
Especially since I'm currently 4.5 months postpartum, sitting 13 lbs over the postpartum weight that I was at this time after my previous pregnancy...and still 28 lbs over a comfortable weight for my frame. So I have some work that needs to get done.
The coolest thing about this challenge can be summed up with this quote from his podcast that goes into detail about what the challenge is actually for:
"How can I help people understand what we always say about high performing people? They have confidence, they have self esteem, they have self worth, they have self belief, they have grit, they have fortitude, they have perseverance, they have the ability to endure, they have resilience. But all of those things are thing that are cultivated through pushing yourself past the point of what's comfortable. And we, as humans, are so conditioned to do what's comfortable that it violates every internal conversation that we could possibly have in our mind to actually do that. So i started thinking, how can I help people believe that they can achieve these states of mental toughness?"
He designed 75 Hard.
A lot of people use this as a 'fitness' or weight loss challenge - but as a Certified Transformation Specialist, I already know that it's about mental fortitude. Something that is not taught socially, culturally or from most parents to children any more.
If you're looking for some intense change - I would check out his podcast episode on it that is linked here - and by clicking on the picture below. If you're a Pretty Aggressive fan - this guy is "Really" Aggressive.
**Here is the warning - Andy swears a lot. If you can't hear the message through the cussing - that's you're loss.
I love a lot of Andy's work & his theories. If you look into his background he has overcome quite a complex past. Despite where he has been, he's created an incredible life for himself - doing exactly what he talks about: building mental toughness.
